Loose screws, lost roof sheets

What went wrong
The screws were too far apart, and some missed the timber underneath. The sheets tore off while the rest of the roof held.
The fix
- Check that roof screws are to the manufacturer’s spacing for your wind region
- Replace rusty or loose screws
- When reroofing, use a licensed roofer and ask for fastened flashings
